COMING SOON: Demonstrating your COVID-19 vaccination status ‘COVID passport’

Next week there will be two self-service ways you are able to access your vaccination status. The surgery is unable to provide this for you.

1. NHS APP

From Monday 17th May the free NHS App will provide a new Covid Vaccine Status update that meets the WHO requirements. The NHS App can be set-up and accessed without contacting the practice. You can access the app through mobile devices such as a smartphone or by tablet

2. NHS 119 LETTER

From Monday 17th May, anyone who is unable to access the NHS App can call the NHS helpline on 119 and request a letter – note five days after 2nd dose- and the letter may take up to five days to reach you.

GPs cannot provide letters showing your COVID-19 vaccination status.

Demonstrating your COVID-19 vaccination status allows you to show others that you’ve had a full course of the COVID-19 vaccine when travelling abroad to some countries or territories. A full course is currently 2 doses of any approved vaccine.
